PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Oliver Wyman's Global Corporate & Institutional Banking practice is a core part of our Global Financial services practice. Widely recognized as influential thought-leaders, the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Practice draws on a deep knowledge of our clients' businesses and our own in-depth industry research to develop sustainable strategies for our clients in Investment and Corporate & Commercial Banking. We consult to leading financial institutions across their entire portfolio of strategic, analytical, operational and transformational challenges. Our team is comprised of 50+ partners and 85+ dedicated consultants spread across 15+ offices globally, and supported by a large team of analysts, researchers and dedicated specialists. We work across capital markets, corporate banking and suppliers to the financial services industry such as stock exchanges and technology firms, our work covers a range of topics through Strategy, Risk, Digital Transformation, Corporate Finance, Organizational Effectiveness as well as Brand & Innovation capabilities.

The role will focus on managing projects - You will lead a team through an efficient and effective problem-solving process from initial thought process through convergence on a solution. You will ensure that recommendations are appropriate, practical, sensible, relevant and cohesive. It's a role that demands thought leadership at the strategic level, and command of all the technical and operational details of execution in teams. You will need great communication skills, ability to grow and nurture junior team members and the ability to forge strong relationships.

YOUR ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise, the ideal candidate will have most of the following:
  • 4 - 10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm or CIB business, including market infrastructure
  • Knowledge of and interest in Global Capital markets, Corporate Banking or relevant Market Infrastructure / technology providers
  • Strong background in problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
  • Fluent business English
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in both formal and informal settings
  • Excellent relationship building skills with clients of all levels
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
  • Willingness to travel (once the situations allows)
  • A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team.
